RISE President
Allen
James joined RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment)
as its first Executive Director soon after the association was founded
in February 1991. Before joining RISE, he served as President of
the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) in Chicago,
Illinois. Prior to ISSA, he was National Executive Director of Delta
Sigma Phi Fraternity, one the nation's largest college social fraternities.
Mr. James started his management career with the U.S. Department
of Agriculture, as Executive Director of a crop allotment and commodity
loan office in North Carolina.
Mr.
James was appointed President of RISE and Vice President of CropLife
America (formerly American Crop Protection Association) in 2000,
and is a member of the four person CropLife America leadership team.
Mr.
James has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation,
the highest recognition in association management granted by the
American Society of Association Executives.
A native
of North Carolina, he studied Agriculture and Biological Sciences
at North Carolina State University and received an MBA from East
Carolina University.
